Onward Trading Co., Ltd. and Onward Creative Center Co., Ltd. to merge under a new corporate name, Onward Corporate Design
Accelerating the expansion and diversification of corporate business and comprehensively designing for client companies

Onward Trading Co., Ltd. (head office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director and President: Akira Murakami) and Onward Creative Center Co., Ltd. (Head office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director and President: Yuichi Yahata) will merge on September 1, 2023 to form a new company, Onward Corporate Design (head office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director and President: Akira Murakami).
Onward Corporate Design will, as the core operating company responsible for the corporate business of the Onward Group, comprehensively design for its client companies in response to social and corporate issues.

Onward Trading Co., Ltd. defined its purpose as "Designing Smiles for People and the Planet Far into the Future" in 2021 in order to respond to changes in the social environment and address growing aspirations from customers. Since formulating its purpose, and as it sincerely faces the issues confronting its customers and society, Onward Trading Co., Ltd. have begun to provide value beyond its conventional uniform planning, production, and sales business and sales promotion business. Going forward, Onward Trading Co., Ltd. wanted to expand the scope of this value and broaden its areas of business.

At the same time, up until now Onward Creative Center Co., Ltd. was involved in planning, design, and construction mainly fir Onward Group stores. However, the nature of stores changed with the COVID-19 pandemic, and it was necessary to broaden the scope of its existing value offerings.

Therefore, in order to accelerate the expansion and diversification of the businesses of both companies, Onward Trading Co., Ltd., which has a strong corporate customer base, and Onward Creative Center Co., Ltd., which has spatial design capabilities with a focus on apparel, have merged to form a new company called Onward Corporate Design with the intention of comprehensively designing for customers.
