The Onward Group welcomes diversity and is working to promote active participation by women as a measure to become a company where diverse and unique human resources can contribute.

We aim to achieve a female leadership rate of 50% by FY2030.

Systems for Promoting Active Participation by Women

In July 2022, we introduced a mentoring program* as a measure to train female candidates for executive positions.
*A program in which experienced senior employees (mentors) support the personal development of junior employees (mentees) by assisting them in resolving career development issues and concerns through interactive dialogue.

In FY2022, the first year of the program, officers (mentors) were provided with training in areas such as coaching and interview skills. They conducted mentoring with general managers (mentees) every other week.
Ongoing conversations between mentors and mentees who do not usually have much contact with each other create opportunities to grow together, not only for mentees, but also for mentors to gain new insights.

Our measures to promote active participation by women, including the mentoring program, were featured on TV Tokyo's "World Business Satellite" and "Morning Satellite" in March 2023.

Career Planning Training

Since September 2022, Onward Holdings has offered training to help employees learn about ways of working and thinking that allow them to make the most of themselves in the context of diversity and to consider career development without being restricted by the conventional image of managerial posts.

In addition to acquiring self-branding skills and becoming role models themselves, the aim is to connect with other female executives.
